Why I am a candidate:
Dear Members of APWPT,
I am pleased to submit my candidature for this year’s APWPT Board elections.
My name is Dr.-Ing. María-Dolores Pérez Guirao. I am a telecommunications engineer with extensive experience in wireless communications, spectrum regulation, standardisation and professional wireless applications. From 2018 to 2022, I worked at Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG as Manager for Spectrum and Innovation. Since 2022, I have been Professor at Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, where I continue to work at the interface of wireless technologies, applied research and innovation.
Over the years, I have been actively involved in national and international standardisation and regulatory activities. In Germany, I serve as a delegate in DKE, the German national mirror organisation to ETSI, where I represent APWPT interests and contribute to bringing the requirements of PMSE users into relevant technical discussions.
My motivation to serve on the APWPT Board is to support the continued protection and development of suitable spectrum access for PMSE. I would like to contribute my technical expertise and regulatory experience to APWPT’s work in standardisation and regulatory bodies, particularly with regard to spectrum sharing, new wireless technologies and future PMSE requirements.
I also believe that APWPT’s strength lies in the practical experience of its members. Therefore, I would like to help involve members even more actively and ensure that their needs are clearly heard by decision-makers. In addition, I would like to further support the internationalisation of APWPT, especially by strengthening its visibility in the Spanish-speaking world.
I would be honoured to continue contributing to APWPT’s important work with commitment, expertise and an international perspective. I kindly ask for your support and your vote in this year’s APWPT Board elections.
